try right up against the dam wall, red/white Rapala CD 12 dropped strait down and jigged back up works a treat but don't tell anyone  don't get caught :naughty: :smoking:

Don't forget that snag in deep water straight off the rocky point down towards the wall. Always worth dragging a Goulburn Jack through.

Croc

Post by rossco »

One of my sons was doing a bit of wakeboarding at Manton recently and they stopped for a lunch on a little clearing toward the dam wall. They had a visit from a croc estimated around 2.4 metres. He's seen plenty elsewhere so his judgement is pretty spot on. It was cruising around in a little bay right in front of them for some time. He said they tried to warn off a few people skiing nearby but they thought it was a big joke. I guess it wasn't big enough to do too much damage but if you fell off near it and it had a snap it would hurt a bit. They decided that it was wise to not use that part of the dam for the rest of the day. It was certainly big enough to pinch a hard earned fish in the dark though. cheers
