Didnt realise that sawfish were a protected species? i know they are endangered but didnt realise they were protected!

Noticed the Fisho Police stopping punters towing boats back home to Darwin near Darwin River late on Sunday arvo. Good to see them out and about. I also know that creek where ole mate has been fishing with his nets. Often punters camp on the north bank, don't they realise that it is Indigenous Land.
