I don't care what the current mob promise, they have already proven that they are not to be trusted.

Im 55 and I cant ever remember ANY party that has kept all of its promises - ever.
that includes local, state and federal govts.
in the old days, at least they would try to keep their promises.
nowadays, you know that they have no intention of keeping promises.

Ive sent emails to both leaders a couple of weeks ago and still have no response from either of them.

fishing policies will change with the wind whoever wins.

You'll remember the dustup I had with AFANT earlier this year in Jan or Feb. It was pretty public and a lot of people had a lot to say about various issues. Some of them directed at me personally.

What you may not have known was that there were people keenly watching what was said by AFANT. At least 2 AFANT officials had a go at me publicly over those issues.

Those people were trying to determine whether they were dealing with a coherent fishing lobby with an influence comensurate with what was being claimed or simply a less closely knit organisation.

I think the latter view won the day (from where I sat anyway).

I don't know what they eventually decided but I do know that a change of public face with the departure of Chris M in the leadup to an election is probably not the smartest of times to change public faces.

I don't believe that u're dealing with supporters of fishing policy but are dealing with people who don't want to have the fishing lobby upset their fishing plans.
Regards

Interesting - 70 votes in the previous poll and only 16 on this poll, perhaps fishos hate politics.

A surprising outcome so far - the same poll question posed to FFFers a few years ago would have produced a different result.

Given the global economic climate at present maybe people feel there are bigger fish to fry(Pardon the pun) than there was a few years ago, ie. Housing affordability, Tax increases/introductions, ETC.

I think there needs to be "some influence" option in this poll.

i will say that the policies relating to baoting, not just fisheries, will have a major role in my decision.
ive just speared 2 more emails off to the Chief Minister as well as the Opposition Leader re the boating safety issue.
I still havent had a reply from Minister Knight  very poor form
