Welcome buddy. The way I learnt a lot was just to go through old posts. Scroll down the main page and click on NT Barra (or what ever you are after). Get yourself a copy of the FFF mag. Have a chat to local tackle store owners who are more than happy to point you in the right direction. And dont worry about struggling this time of year on the barra. The fish are still there, but it takes a lot more effort and persistence to get them during the dry. Come Oct/Nov/Dec during the build up the temps are not the only thing on the rise. The barra catches will also rise as they will be gorging themselves for the upcoming wet.

And a little more persistence helps

Hi Scott

First thing is to get the basics right.

The line and lures are for the pigs and the firearm for the fish.

Have a talk to the guys behind the counters at the local tackle stores. If your land based and can manage a trip to Dundee try the rocks along the foreshore on a high tide. If travel is not in the plan then locally there are a number of access points in the harbour which will work. East Point and the whary area produces good fish. Not into shooting so I can't help you there.
