my son Laurence is 7 and a very keen fisher and hunter. He has been coming out goose hunting and fishing with me since before he could walk and he is an outstanding goose retriever and fisher men... his best barra is 81 and his best jew fish is 130cm but he has never had a shot at a pig...

he had been asking me for about six months to take him out after pigs and after a few half harted attempts we got an invite to shoot on a friends property on the weekend.

I think he may have got the wrong idea about how easy pig hunting is, as we had to go less then 500m before we came aross our first mob, which were walking along a game trail towards us... couldn't belive my eyes...

only problem is now he has the bug... He even took his bullet to church on Sunday to show everyone

Great video mate. reminds me of when my old man used to take me shooting every thursday arvo out at the howard swamps.

These days he's gotten lazy but, just sits on the mango farm about 50 meters from the shed and blasts em while sitting down.

Congrats on young fella for taking his first pig, hooked for life by the looks of it.
