salmon busting

Post by bvd »

so me an me besty decided to take our new tinny out(someone elses really old tinny) and try get ourselves a feed of bread and butter species.

launched the boat and putted slowly very slowly with our massive 6hp motor out the heads of freo harbour and down to leighton beach to a little artificial reef there.
we chucked our lines in and i look over at me mate who had his brand new combo sitting in between his legs whilst rigging up another setup when his new rig gets ripped from his legs and goes flying in the drink  i lost it laughing i couldnt help it.good mate ay. :fu: what the truck grabbed that i said

after that the water started boiling up so i chucked on the only lure we had a spanyid raider hurled it out and got smashed straight away by a chunky salmon launching out of the water.my mate made himself a lure out of red electrical tape wrapped around a hook and he was on straight away. yewww. he was strugglin to land any on his little stick so we shared mine so he could get a few in the boat

we ended up catching sh!#loads that day between bailing out water that was leaking in through a split in the hull which i had fixed with silicon and gaffa tape :applause: :bonk:

awesome day and i hope we get a run like that again next year.

Sounds like you needed a cable tie and some fencing wire to go with the silicon and gaffa. Can fix anything. Good session and post.
