FFF in Tasmania 3

Post by Matt Flynn »

Caught four small ones yesterday arvo, the stonker I lost a few days ago wouldn't come out to play.

I am walking the river bank with waders as the river is now low enough to allow it.

Surprised by the lack of insect life and baitfish/tadpoles etc along the edges.

A few trout started rising on dusk, so I bombed them with spinners

You don't "catch" them Mick....you "angle" for them. With a tweed cardigan. And a pipe. And for gods sake don't take an esky. It's illegal to take them home in anything but a basket. And they are "trout" not "trouts". Jeesh next people will be fishing for them with spinners....
Its not a crisis unless there is blood around.
If there is blood around......well its a police matter...
