Hello
Don't know if I've put this up before.
Couple of years ago (bored) I decided to check out the stretch of some commonly available leaders before they destructed.
Wasn't very scientific but was certainly very practical.
Set of scales, leader achored both ends, lever handle to increase pull, welding mask for when leader failed.
The only info I gleaned from the exercise was that putting large pull in pounds was very very difficult. No fish that I likely to chase would exert the amount of pull required to break most leaders available.
Deduced that I was really looking for fraying strength not straight pull strength. Briad or knot would fail before leader.
Still looking for 40lb leader which is armourplated and impervious to fraying!
