Re: Blue Crab???
That's an awesome looking crab. Maybe they go that colour when they are in clear blue water for a longtime. Trying to blend in or something. Would look good in an aquarium.

"Blue (Da Ba De)"
Yo listen up here's a story
About a little guy that lives in a blue world
And all day and all night and everything he sees
Is just blue like him inside and outside
Blue is his house with a blue little window
And a blue corvette
And everything is blue for him and hisself
And everybody around
Cos he ain't got nobody to listen to
I'm blue da ba dee da ba die...

THAT is what they look like when they live on the reefs and not in the mud , we used to get them that colour at Mergenella off the rocks at low tide? And yes they taste fantastic nice and clean..

Re: Blue Crab???
i thought blue crabs were like that because they have just shed their shell. we used to get them like that in the creeks in the harbour if you squeeze them under the shell it would be soft due to shedding and would be empty !
the rusty coloured dirty ones were always full

Got to see pictures of one that fisheries were given to try and breed with at the aquaculture place... Blues crab ever.. But it went back to green after while they told me.

Yep. If you can find a spot that holds numbers in clean water that's how they look. Perfectly clean and tasty.
