I for one like polls as they give much more accurate numbers on certain topic discussions. doing a poll also allows people to remain anonymous on some of the more sensitive subjects around without being ridiculed which is a good thing as it gives users a more realistic idea on what other peoples thoughts are! they also gives me an oppitunity to respond to subjects that I otherwise couldn't due to time restraints.
