New Artificial reef for Lee Point
According to the ch 9 news, a heap of large pipes will be sunk to form a new reef off Lee Point.
ANyone know anything about it?

Interesting, ABC says they are steel, picture I have looks like they are concrete.

But then the ABC also think that Peter Garrett was a visionary, so they most likely are concrete, plastic, plaster, timber or something else

Concrete road culverts that era ordered with the wrong reo in them and 500 to many!!!

thats it, might get a few familes to move in too, lotsa bait and who knows what might hang around.!!
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Fisheries consulted the diving community for recommended locations. My preference was to distribute a portion next to the new MC memorial reef at the tippers site - as we found firm bottom there. also the bottle washer because it's popular and needs more structure to spread the punters out a bit.
because theres a large quanity of them, it wouldnt hurt puttng some with the new barge and Antaries at Fenton as well.
