I reckon they are from a South American fish, can't think of it's name.......I've seen it on Monster Fish.......you know the fish that eats fallen nuts and that sort of stuff

Pacu. Caught in the Amazon. They eat fruit and seeds. i watched a TV show with a bloke catching them. apparently they are prized eating fish.
