Re: latest FFF fad sounder pic
well I just dont believe it. we dived the new wreck yesturday and instead of it laying on soft sand(as expected) it's on a hard rubbly bottom!! i was convinced there was not hard bottom in the that area and the hull lands smack bang on it!!!!,( thanks for the that front mooring chain snapping.
see poop happens to me for a good reason.)
the extent of the hard bottom is unknown but it's at least 10-20 metres either side of the hull position. there's even a massive steel plate near by , presumably left over from the tippers sinking project.
so Shane, it did end up leaning over a bit as the keel had more influence than the outrigger, it would have been different if it went onto a softer sea floor.
but hard bottom is good and the hull has snappers all over it, resident mother in laws, medium blue bone and a few juvinile trout. and of course the ever present bat fish!!!
bring on the calm sea's.

Re: latest FFF fad sounder pic
the location was published in the latest NT fishing and outdoor mag complete with pictures and the legends that did work on it.
it's in the next FFF mag or contact fisheries on 8999 2372.

Re: latest FFF fad sounder pic
Defiantly some life on it! iv fished it twice in the last 2 weeks and here is a bit of a list. Goldies, Cod, GT's, Bronze Whalers, Hammer Heads, Grunter, Bat Fish, Smilers, Blue Bone and a few other species i cant remember. I had counted up to 11 so far. so it just goes to show how quickly they can find it!
