Re: PENDING WORLD RECORD
these are great fish and amazing catches, but does anyone know the max size these big girls will grow swimming round in a pantry basically, seemed only a few short years ago a metery from an impoundment was caught and everyone was amazed at it's girth....in 10 years time there might be a 2 metre bazza weighing 90kg being caught and catches like this will be deemed to be rats
fish are skinny, the ocean is fat

Hi
Don't know. But wild river catches of 1.48, 1.5 and 1.54 have been recorded here. They were'nt as fat as this one but they'll grow over 1.5 alright. An impoundment barra over 1.5 would have to be 50kg (110 lbs).
This one was 2 lbs off the magic old 100lb mark.
There are some other photos on the Qld impoundment posts. Looks like this one was kept. People are encouraged to keep big fish in the stocked impoundment system here.
