Can you help identify this species?

Post by Shark Girl »

On first glance this may seem to be your average species of 'Passioneto Obsesso Fishinglegendeto'......

....commonly referred to as 'Fisho'.

Typical characteristics include

- Reaching 1-2m in length
- Lives on land or on water
- Prey to crocodiles if in reckless mood and willing to be found lurking 3ft deep (waist depth)
- Distance covered is dependant on tide, weather conditions and time allowable (although the later frequently extends 2 hours past planned)
- Readily distinguishable on examining for permanent sunburn imprint
- Sports some type of fishing attire
- Owns books showing how to catch fish, how to cook fish and how to discover Australia fishing
- Has tidal times memorised
- Internal GPS for finding the best snag to cast a lure at
- Comes armed with an array of hunting equipment which would rival your nearest tackle store packed and ready for the immediate ceasation of the next down pour
- Known to spend countless hours conversing with other 'Passioneto Obsesso Fishinglegendeto's' on popular forum
- Can burn a hole in a credit card at the local tackle store quicker than any female let loose in Myer

However, on closer inspection THIS species may have a never before observed mutation.
Early today it was witnessed spending 6 hours (with breaks to nurse and change poopy pants newborn offspring) in a perculiar 'zone', rumaging through tackle boxes, emptying, sorting, throwing rusties and changing hooks.
After intense focus (which required Panadol as a remedy) and much muttering to itself as to how on earth some items had made it into it's possession.....this is the result....

Absolutely immaculate tackle boxes. Lovingly and meticulously organised...complete with labels as to what contents said tackle box contains.

If you have spotted this variety of 'Fisho', know the scientific name for it or how to cure it please advise.

Much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Its definately an addiction that needs regular therapy preferably in waters that are rich with piscatorial creatures.

The withdrawl symptoms are very bad if the addiction is not fed.

WTF!!??

What the......I....what?

Um.

Well...Species is a TENDTUIT LAYDERONICUS

Its a part of the family of FISHOS but is distantly related to the reptiles

Thank you honey for sharing your observations of my dark activities. I no longer feel I have to keep my addiction to fiddling with my tackle a secret. In fact...maybe if I just admitted it I might start down the road to recovery....I'll say it then. Im a FISHERMAN and I DONT CARE WHO KNOWS IT!

Thank you for publishing such a delightful pic too...but dont forget our agreement...only post photos where Im sucking in my gut.....

schmoodies xx

PS Thanks for the support lads. Yes those suggestions would go a long way towards curing this illness.
Its not a crisis unless there is blood around.
If there is blood around......well its a police matter...
