When asked by a non-fisherman "how many fishing rods do you actually need?", the correct response is either:
A) n+1 (where n is the number if rods you currently have); or

B) n-1 (where n is the number of rods which would cause your other half to dump you)

This beauty was taken from Catalina creek 1 in 2009 - My uncles first mud crabbing trip in Darwin. Dam southerner expected them to all be that big

we could only get the grumpy crustation streched out claw to claw at around 60cm and from memory it's carapace was 20 odd cms.

Biggest effort so far for me, i'm not much of a crabber though.

It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

“Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime”

"Soon after I embraced the sport of angling I became convinced that I should never be able to enjoy it if I had to rely on the cooperation of the fish."

I don't have a pic (so it didn't happen) but my biggest was 23 across the carapase from Bynoe. Caught somone about to pull that exact pot, started yelling some abuse and then went in to investigate and that buck was left with the pot half undone. Was going to chase him but it was too early in the morning.

A few pics from Elizabeth river in 2010, when I moved out to Palmo.

Loved soaking pots, whilst figuring out that river.

Stopped goin after my third window smash in a year.

So much for the secure park...
