Crackers 60hp PNG adventure
Craig 'Crackers' Hand left Buffalo Creek ramp yesterday for PNG, via the Gulf of Carpentaria.
He told me last night he had been delayed in Shoal Bay by a school of tuna
For those who don't already know, Crackers trolls over to PNG in an old 15ft half cabin boat (the little red boat) with a 60hp two-stroke motor, to visit the remote Sibidiri tribe in PNG.
He loads his boat full of critically important domestic items for the tribe, such as totem tennis poles
It is a charitable adventure that includes a lot of fishing.
The previous four editions of NTMAG outlined his previous adventure.
I'll post links up to the Cracker-Tracker shortly, and there will be reports.
The adventure is not without risk, some would say Craig is ... errr, Crackers
But I do know he is a bl..dy good bloke, and wish him well on what will be a helluva trip

Hey Matt, if Crackers had the gps tracker attached to his scrotum, it would have to be called Crackers Knacker Tracker!
Don't know if there is a Mrs Crackers, but you'd reckon if there is she'd want to have it firmly attached there.

Spose the same applies when you head out to Goodrich Bank, or anywhere for that matterGood luck... Hope he gets there so we don't get landed with a rescue bill..(tax payers that is)
Given some of the cr.p that tax gets wasted on, such as $40,000 pay rises for MPs, rescuing Crackers would be a good spend
He fixed the VHF radio for the tribe in Sibidiri for free, if it was done by PNG/Aust government contractors it would have cost $3 trillion.
