More man made dams for NT sportfishing?

Darwin River Dam should be a stocked fishery where only Electric power is allowed which protects water quality. My vote would be to utilize any existing dams but not to add to them unless we require more water storage. Manton mad there is no obligation in the comps to be anywhere near other boats if you quietly find your own patches of fish but a DRD comp would be sensational as well.

They used to stock a dam near the mt Todd mine site but I'm not sure about getting access

I think we need heaps more dams everywhere. We've almost fished the Barra out in the salt, especially here in Qld, and every dam I've ever been too has 1000s of $100,000 Skeeters roaring around all day. It's becoming increasingly hard to find a quiet backwater to chase a Barra. Perhaps private dams might be the future.
