I think it is because they have all moved to the NT, going by the number I have seen out the front of Bynoe Harbour.

We used to dive on the wreck of the Valiant tugboat just off Broken Bay. One time i remember seeing about 30 of em swimming on a big circle around us as we came up from the 90' depth.
The wetsuit needed a really good wash that day I can tell you.

What's the laws on sawsharks..?? well i know Commercial netters that deliberately kill them, don't have any where near as severe penalties as that,, in fact i think they give them a tip off of who actually reported the senseless slaying, just so they can threaten the people who brought it to light, then get next to nothing done about it by N.T fisheries ministers.. well that is my opinion and i think i might be entitled to it..
