Would you spearfish a Marlin?

Rumour has it that some FFF members are spearos. It's time to come out of the closet.

I'm suprised they got it so close, usually they would have posted a pic of a tuna or something.

They can reach speeds of 110km/hr.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marlin
"marlin are known to be incredibly fast swimmers, reaching speeds of about 110 kilometres per hour (68 mph)."
If WikiPedia says it's true, it's true.

Not all news papers can be experts on everything that has a newsworthy storey attached to it.

'Y would you'? I would if I had large gonads like this guy, but i don't... :(
It would be one hell of a rush when it took off i reckon.

He's either incredibly brave or incredibly stupid!

As long as the fish is used I dont see a problem but it makes my blood boil when they are killed and then wasted!

Probably would. Had a chance a few months ago when a little Black was hanging around the boat.

They are just so damn tasty.

imagine being towed all over the ocean with massive floats to sub due it. then have that point thing charged at you . Nah, I shoot for the dinner table, I'm no trophy hunter. Just want a couple of fillets for my tribe. I would like to sit in the middle of a bait ball and film them though 8-) :naughty:

If i want to impress someone at a bar, I'll say I'm Harmsey and I catch marlin on barra lures. :naughty: (until Harmsey walking into that same bar! )
