I love Cod!

Rumour has it that some FFF members are spearos. It's time to come out of the closet.

I love Cod!

Post by BarraBeast »

here's a 95cm Cod I speared on the Apsley trip. They are my favorite eating fish. I followed this one along a fissure(crack in the reef) just wide enough for the fish, for about 20 metres, then it went under a ledge and into a cave. We faced each other off in the gloom like cowboys in the wild west drawing pistols, he was like "go on follow me in here, I dare ya" I chickened out and went up for air. On the second dive he was at the mouthof the cave, smoked him at long range with the sun behind me.

Made fish head soup from the frame and now have fish nuggets for a month! Made BarraBabe very happy with this one.

a fish is never dead. what comes from the ocean, returns to the ocean.
