I hear ya Matt regarding the frames, I only throw out the gills and guts of any fish (well bigger than say 50cm or so)

I will green/red curry up the frames, wings and heads.....keep the fillets for visitors. The flavors from the frames in a Thai curry are just unbelievable, some people cant get over picking through the bones but it is my favorite!

Went to Harrisons this morning. As we pulled onto Anzac Parade there were four other cars behind us. We were travelling along at 100km/h, when two cars decided to overtake us. The first to overtake was then overtaken by the second car that overtook us. By the length of time those cars were neck to neck, I don't think the first fella was wanting to give up his position. There was a bit of high-beaming going on between them as well by the looks of things!
Obviously these guys take their goose shooting seriously, but I question the necessity of racing in. Still, a bit of entertainment! :)

One goose and four ducks for the first morning hunt I have had time for this season.

Sounds about right, Bellfish. :)
I had my money on you maintaining the lead, what happened?! :P
How did you go this morning anyway, mate? Good spot near where you parked up? I have always headed down towards the southern end of the reserve, never actually hunted around the dam itself.

True? That's pretty packed. That's why I like to move away from the dam a bit. Might be a few less birds but nobody was within 200m of me and my mates. I get a bit skittish when I'm close to people who I don't know. Not that I've ever come to harm. I need to get out on a week day morning.

"Four times as many hunters but quarter as much space"

Maybe new reserves further out of town should be considered, it's becoming too difficult and unsafe.

Any updates on Harrison's, lambells and shoal bay area? This thread has been bit quiet last few days and trying to work out if it's worth making the trip out
