Hi guys,
Any recommendations for freight solutions for an outboard, I'm looking at a couple outboard from cairns or central cost.
Has anyone brought one up recently and can give me a ball park of cost involved.
Thanks in advance

you mentioned the Central coats - I think this mob https://www.topmarineoutboards.com.au/1 ... ds#/page-4 turned out to be a scam

Thanks,
Outside Paypal who takes high fees, anyone suggest a way to reduce the risk of dealing with a private seller. Bit anxious about depositing 8-10k without meeting the person or knowing where they live.

Ask for faxed ID, receipts of purchase and service etc, if they are legit they won't mind. You could ask the local marine dealer about the seller. Legit sellers will usually provide requested info freely. If they don't talk, walk!

Re: Interstate Outboard freight
I would go with a larger frieght
Company even if it costs a little
More. The experience we received
From a local frieght company was
Unbelievable. My old Out board was
Packed up by the dealer in the frame
And boxing that my new out board
Came in every thing was packed
Up separately and included in the
Wooden box all secured and ready
For transport. What arrived at the
Other end was an out board sitting
On a pallet and every just chucked
On to it and wrapped in a bit of plastic.
As you can imagine not all the
Items arrived that was sent.
Lucky the buyer arranged the frieght
They then demand double the fee
At the receiving end and threats to
The the buyer if he complained.
