I used this kayak a lot down south, but it hasn't been in the water since I've been living back up here. Personally I'm too worried about crocs, even in the harbour. Cost of a new Hobie Outback is a little over $3000, so $1500 for this one is a bargain.

Kayaks are just asking to be chewed up by a big territorial salty up here mate, bugger that for a joke I've felt pretty vunerable in a 4m plus boat a few times over the years. IMO it's definitely not the craft for this area.
