Lake Moondarra fishing

Post by Matt Flynn »

Lake Moondarra Dam is 2380ha but averages only about 6m deep.

It has barramundi, sooty grunter, saratoga, gar, fork-tailed Powertail, tandans, spangled perch and sleepy cod.

The lake is the main waterway for stocking of three dams in the Mt Isa region.

No boating restrictions apply and there are concrete ramps.

Facilities include tables, gazebos, toilets, shelters, barbecues and water.
There is no camping on the lake.
