Re: Wiligi Horse
Wiligi is a winner !!
Wiligi is located on the Cobourg Peninsular approximately half way between Jabiru and Gurig National Park. Camping is available with Dawn and Reuben Cooper at Wiligi Outstation - Out of Arnhem Land (Wiligi Experience) and are amazing people and great hosts.
If you want to visit Wiligi contact Dawin who can explain permits, costs, mudmaps, fishing etc... Tel 89 790069 or email wiligi@activ8.net.au
If you like a liittle comfort you will appreciate the "glamping" that should be available this wetseason.
For more info call, call the lovely Dawn - she is a GEM. Watch out for Reuben = is is 50/50 (ask him what that means

Re: Wiligi Horse
Hi Guys thanks for the comments,
Boof Dog I called her for 119cm on the brag mat but the missus reckons she went 121cm so I reckon I'll call it 120cm either way she's kicking my arse now
Yeah as Emma said Wiligi is at the base of coburg, its a great place with great hosts
The type of place you dream of going. Fishing was insane, Species for the trip included Barra, Threadies, Muddies, Queenies, GT's Mackies Trout, Cod, Long tom, most of which seemed to be on roids!
had multiple hookups on most species much bigger than what was landed however just could'nt seen to get them to stick
but still had a great couple of days, I had no idea where to go as I had never been there before but it only took half a day to suss out some great spots, with a fair bit of help from Rueben
The boys from Hook Line and Sinker where there for a couple of days and had a ball landing queenies up to 150cm massive GT's and a cricket score of trout up to nearly a meter long
saw some of their footage of a massive fish look like a cobia but if it was would have been close on 100kg nearly a foot across the head unfortunately they lost it after a 45 min fight! They seem like top fellas to boot
Just waiting on some more photos from the other couple and I'll put up a bit of a picture display of the trip.
Highly recommend getting out there if you get the chance I'm taking the old's out there in a couple of weeks instead of the usual trip to the Daly for a week
