10 lb braid? ummmm, no way. 1 hour? Highly doubtfull.
Still not as big as forum member Slapper's shady camp barra (145cm) but far bigger then anything I've caught (or seen).

On second thoughts..... maybe the 10lb is correct.... not a Territory fish only a pi ss weak qld'er

I wonder if she has a gazillion dollars worth of gear, a squillion worth of boats and vehicles and fishes every week? And I thought 30lb was on the light side!

Wow! a fantastic catch and a Huge 143cm Barra. Well done!. Was this caught in Qld? Wondering if that was her first time?
So at Shady Camp the largest was 145cm, A Metre and a Half of Fish! Unreal.
(How do you determine the age of the fish that size? 30, 40, 50 years plus?)

Curious .. what is the largest Barra ever caught up here in the N.T?

Heard of a 159cm but was never confirmed to me anyways, I was taken to cdu as a young school kid around 15 years ago and they were breeding large girls and swear I seen them up around 1.7-1.8 in there.
Dam fish look like big yellowbellys, never caught one but can't see how they would fight as well as a fish having to swim against 7m of tide.
But anything that size would go alright, if it was 10lb it was a bl..dy good effort

NT isn't the only place with 7 m tides.

Good fish alright.

Geez Cuddles. Don't scare me like that.

That fella works out of Karumba so the choices are Norman, Bynoe or Flinders.

See the thready-buster on the gunwale just below the tail? Only small trebles.

That's a good effort in narrow water on 10lb line. Looks like high tide as well at the mouth of that little creek in the background.
