If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

No need for a report Matt. De-with gave you the low down as i see it. 280 fish, 7 over the metre, that 131 the last of em. We ended up leaving a day early we were all so satisfied.
For the record, there were no apparents about it.... I landed a 100, 103 & a 105. Waz got a 103 & 105, while Brendan nailed a 114 & the leviathan i took the pic of at 131. Yes, they do exist, yes it was released. All the big fish were. We did the time tho chasing the big girls after our first half day of fishing yeilded about 120 fish. Good times with good mates.....
We'll reveal all on the Tinny tomorrow no doubt.

"We went to a creek near the Rose River, a baby creek out that way, we were casting around where there was just a little fresh coming out at the bottom of the tide, which was attracting some bait.
"We made sure we kept casting all day, we worked hard.
"We sometimes cast for two hours straight without a fish, but once we worked out where the fish were we stayed put.
"Five meteries were on Stradas and two on green Bombers.
"We got a 131cm, 114cm, two by 105cm, two 103cm and a 100cm.
"My mate Warwick got two, Richie got three and I got two.
"We stopped counting at 280 fish - we lost count.
"But it was not easy fishing, we started at 6am each day - we went for a week - and Thursday, the last day, was the best day.
"We found the fish and worked them out a bit and it worked.
"We caught 10 or 20 in the 90s and 40 or 50 in the 80s.
"It took eight hours in the boat to get home.
"The big one was a nice healthy fish and it got itself right out of the water - we got to see some awesome tail-dancing.
"And it went straight back in after the photos.
"We launched at Roper Bar Caravan Park, the bar was on 500mm, we were actually going to drive to the Moyle River, but because of all the rain changed our plan to the Roper.
"The Roper River itself was really unproductive - there has been very little rain and the netters are hitting it.
"We did nearly 900km on the boat to get the fish.
"We caught no other species - we were hoping to hit the islands but it was a bit rough."
I think someone is being a "true" fisherman with the location :naughty: :naughty:  Awesome fish and well done :applause:
