I am heading out on Sunday to chase a sail off Dundee, I am looking for an additional crew member, all the usuals have better things to do. Will be an all day afair and will expect to split fuel.

7m center cab.

Prefer someone with their own gear and that has a bit of knowledge on billies, but not nececcary.

PM if keen.

Great stuff there guys.
Nice aerials on yours there Trev.
Great handling of the fish in both cases.

I went out weekend before last for 1-0-0 at Sail city before it came in a bit too rough for a 5.35M boat. Still found the water a bit murky and couldn't manage to find the nice dark blue water. Still managed to jig up some real nice coral trout as a bonus.

Great fish Dean and Trevor. Cheers for sharing the vids.
I'm new to darwin and would love to get amongst the sailfish.
How long do they normally stick around for?

Just thought I'd let you guys know I was at the North Gutter today and had a marlin swim right up to the boat! It was just cruising around sort of sunning itself, with its tail out of the water foot to a foot and a half. Estimated length 4m. Happy to pm anyone the mark if interested......cheers Nath

Hi all,

Went for a troll out sth gutter got there and found the water was green as, so kept on to the kinks water was still green but started to find birds and flying fish got the spread out and by 8:15 we were hooked up and boated a sail at 1.8m short length estimate 18-20kg raised two more fish but neither would eat.

Bit rough on the way home but guess it was worth it.

Nath I would like to know where you saw the marlin 4m is a big fish.

Thanks trev

Hey Trev that's a great pic!. Yeah mate the fish I saw at NG was a thumper! I've never ever seen any bill fish before and seeing it made up for my cr.p fishing performance for the day!! The mark I saw it was 12 04 673s 130 36 155e. So are this fish commonly caught/seen in this area?? Best of luck lads.....Nath

Thanks for the mark. A fish like that could be there one day and 100km away the next but I'll have a look next time we get a chance. Billfish are deffinately known to be in that area I think there around all year to cheers
