wouldnt have a clue did them over 6 months ago. The ones in dads boat are in a sealed pvc/plastic sheeting where as mine doesn't have it. both apparently water proof. sat them both in water to test while running with no issues. When they are right under the gunwhale's its pretty hard for them to get wet any ways.

As for quality i'm sure they are similar to the korr ones. so long as it has a fuse in the system nothing should go wrong (in theory) And the way i think is i can buy 10m off ebay for about $20 delivered, that means i can do my entire boat twice for the price of 1m from korr. If it poop's itself throw it away and buy it again..

Bias have them at the moment.
I got mine from Hong Kong for about 10% of the price you pay here (but you wait a while for delivery)
thats when prices where high here, dont know what the comparisons are these days

'Oils aint oils sol' and LED's strips aint strips.
Well id like to report that my fantastic waterproof LED strip lights aren't so great anymore. Turns out that they arent waterproof at all and have corroded right thru.
So i have given myself an uppercut for doing what ive always said i shouldn't and buy cheap stuff because you end up having to get the good stuff in the end and it costs more in the long term.

So im in the market for some led strips :bonk:

Ever thought of sliding the cheap led strip lights inside of a clear conduit and sealing the ends?? Then mount under the gunnels

I been using the blue/white korr led strip for over a year. The dimmer switch died after 3 months so now off or super bright. It's a great led but not sure why they used a cheap ass dimmer switch. :bs: :bs: could possibility claim it under warranty but didn't worry about it.

I bought the Korr Lighting boat kit in the 4mtr for $99 from bias boating in Stuart Park had them for about 3 months now and so far so good they can change from white (sitting still) to blue (traveling) with remote dimming capabilities no drama's Quality over quantity anyday

Just buy the quality stuff on line
Get the 5050 led strips in red and white !
Can get a metre for about $8 when you look around should have a water proof rating of ip68
They want $26 m at BTC for the exact same bit of led strip !
The 5050 brand seems to be good !

What's that old saying again?

Ah...yes. The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.
