Cheers for the info Swoffa. Will see how the road to Dundee holds up after this burst of weather and maybe head out there next weekend.

Well done Warren. Great to hear the blue is warming up. I used to run a billfish boat and I used to run 7/0 circle hooks for a much better hookup rate, give it a try.

G'day Warren,
Nice to hear that the Billies are having a go up there this year, Surprised that you are having problems on the hookup using finger mullet. Can I suggest using Pilchards if you can get some really good ones and going down to a size 5/0 circle in either a Mustad Demon Circle or an Eagle Claw L2004EL. Stay away from the Owners SW Circles. I know the 4/0 has been mentioned but I have concerns about the ability to hook a better fish if you cop a "Dude where's my teaser?!?" incident again. :bonk: The season here is not far away and a couple of early reports have me thinking it may just be a cracker.
Cheers,
John.
