Well pakula is running a new range of heads called softease, so if he is doing them i think the theory is probably well founded.

Trevor, a couple of years ago we cleaned up on the sailfish on the bigger tides. The moon state was the same then as it is now with a new moon...should mean they are eating during the daytime rather than the night.

I am giving it a go any way as I missed out last weekend with the BOM giving an unfavourable marine forecast.

Cheers

Was out jigging the fentons today and had a good sail (I think, first one I've ever seen! Bout 4 foot long in the body) swim past the boat. Threw a gillies jig in front of him and near poop myself when it followed the lure back to the boat. Buggered off real quick when it saw our ugly mugs grinning at it!

Got out Friday to Sail city, looks like the dirty water from the Daly has hit the area as the water was light green with loads of sediment and logs floating through the area. We did find a bit of clearer water that was dark green out about 10k's wide of Sail City but too rough to really target billies. 0-0-0 for Friday.

Saturday we tried Long Lost but also found the light green dirty water shich loked to be coming from the Finniss. No where near as dirty as SC but still not the right colour. 0-0-0 for the day but as we trolled the teasers around a school of tuna we saw a single sail in the centre of the pod, threw a bait at it and it followed but no take. Threw a few more baits towards where it was and trolled the teasers in circles but didn't see the fish again. Great weather and plenty of tuna 9both longies and mac) which we caught in good numbers on fly. Also tried jigging around Long Lost and Blaze for a half dozen trout, nice snapper and one inice jew.
