Just a quick one. Is there a better time of year to chase billfish and small marlin in the Darwin region? Any tips techniques or advice would be greatly appreciated.

7 hours yesterday for not even a sniff
Started at the south gutter but didn't like the water there so headed to north gutter alot cleaner water and a heap of suspended bait before the turn but didn't hang around till the turn it may have come to the surface but couple of storms where brewing so headed back in !
Good keen crew and keen eyes on the baits helps
Generally up here it is 5 hours of boredom for 10 mins of absolute madness

only 5 hrs doug. haha

Transition periods between wet and dry season, neap tides following smaller spring tide cycles, glass calm conditions, clean water and lots of bait!

Apparently there not a myth!! A crew aboard brownys boat had a cracker of a day 2 marlin
Raised 6 sails and caught 3 of them
They ventured a little wider !
