60-70kg black marlin

Post by Kp NT »

Me and my dad participated in the new gove tackle world and outdoors lure only billfish comp on the weekend, dad managed to get himself a 60-70kg black marlin on 10 kg after a 2hour fight with quite a few anxious moments when 4 or 5 6ft bronze whalers chased it all over the place but we managed to get it away from them. Conditions weren't the best with only small patches of bait as well as afternoon storms to disrupt fishing, over all there was only 4fish tagged for the two days which were 3sails and dads black.
But it shows there still fish hanging around so i will keep on trying to find some of those elusive stick fish

well done to get it away from the sharks!!!

top pics, good stuff. Beautiful colors.
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
