MANTON OVERFLOW

Post by Blinky »

Late yesterday arvo took the Missus and youngest bloke for a run out to Manton Wall for a bit of a look-see.
Plenty of water flowing over the top, but no fish were playing game in the pool below.

There was something going on that I have never seen before……….thousands upon thousands of tiny eel tailed powertails running the gauntlet from the river up into the pool. They were jumping up through the white water like salmon. All along the edges in the sheltered water they were packed in like sardines , waiting for their chance to have a crack at the rapids. Amazing stuff.
I took a few photies but you couldn’t make out the tiny fish.

Here’s some other photies of the spillway.

Salad,
Was that you coming out from the wall with another guy and a bird? Did some geeza ask you if you'd had any luck? About 5 - 5.30 I think it was.

If it was you...........maybe we need to start wearing FFF stickers on the forehead  :bonk:
