HI Deepblack,
l use auto acrylics for all stages. grey primer x 2 , 2 x sprayed white , then colours , then 3x coats of clear.
the primer should be let dry 2 days till its very hard. the whites and colours can be done same day if its warm and dry and l start painting 8am.
3rd day is clearcoats , tho sometimes the 3rd clearcoat goes on the 4th day.
then let lure dry 3-4days.
l hope this helps.
cheers,
Barney.

Be the one I get me metery on. :D Got a liking for b52's big and small in Kryptonite, and after the shady trip with IIMB(Jim) Bigass anything.

Trick is don't get hung up on one thing.. be flexible and try variations... see what is working and run with it... being stuck on one thing might cause you to miss out on the bite that is going on... lately plastics have been the thing... but i'm happy to change if i'm fishing different country or terrain... match the hatch or the situation to the right gear...

Like Back-Cast said changes every good trip out. Try not to get sucked into the new hot thing of the moment anymore and use ones that i know have worked over the years.

I still have to say OLD gold bomber as its a throw on a visitors line most of the time while i use a mix and surprised at how many times they produce, and have over the years. Have not tied one on myself for a year or so but if i only had one lure.
( made in the last three years or so are shyte lucky ive got heaps of older ones)

I would need one lure tray

I'm with back-cast & standy, keep changing lures until you find what is working, what worked one day may not the next. Otherwise a gold bomber has the best odds!

The best lures are the ones you pinch out of your mates tackle box. Cheap and disposable! Especially when they are Sheebys :moon:
