Tackle Box at Palmy has them. Bigger than 5 inch though. Look okay to me but I haven't endangered any species with them yet! Rig them however you want. I hear people have been rigging a stinger off them and getting results. Big fish eat big food.

Re: Wedgetail mullet plastics
We've tried the 2" landed a few small cod at inland tidal water hole, have a good swimming action, and smaller bait fish school around them. Also caught 80cm freshwater barra on 5", haven't tried the larger one though. Did look for warning on pack, but could not find any warning about chemicals and cancer mentioned up further on any of packets we have. We have purchased spinnerbaits and jig heads in past that state this warning, but it relates to lead content. We have a freind who fishes Daly occassionally and gets smashed on these lures.

Re: Wedgetail mullet plastics
I've had 5" ones for quite a while.
Out of desperation the other day I tried them out with success.
There are now 3.5" ones available.

Re: Wedgetail mullet plastics
I bought some 5" versions a few months ago planning to drag them through deep timber etc. I haven't had any success on them as yet but I havent really had the chance to use them when the fish are "on" yet as its been a funny year. Been a better year for trolling for me and flicking small prawn imitations.
Anyway I was wondering how you blokes are rigging them? Ive only tried with Nitro Jig heads that I normally use on gulps but haven't been real impressed with how they look. How you setting them up?

Weedless max, wide gape 7/0 at least they have a wicked tail kick when allowed to drop vertically into snags most barra can't help themselves I've found
fish are skinny, the ocean is fat

Re: Wedgetail mullet plastics
We rig ours with Evolution Jig Head. Got sick of loosing half the plastic as well as fish. I find they have a better hook up rate, as they run about 3/4 way down the center of plastic with hook coming out on the under side at the end of jig head shaft.
