Re: Any guess?
Hi there,
So a few days ago, I arrived at work in the morning, and ask for my keys at the security guys, and the one who gave me my keys, said: "Ho, and there is a lure for you on your keys".
It took me a few days to learn who gave me this lure,As the guys all said with a smile: "No cles as to where it comes from..."
But any way that was a very nice surprise, the morning when arriving to work.
It really made my day.
Thanks mate.
So the lure in question is a Classic Barra, 120+15, and the colour is...
Carlton Mid, and it is still in the box!
I know that a lot of you have already seen this lure, and even fished with it.
But for me who don't drink, the chance to get one still in the box was rather slime.
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Re: Any guess?
Hi Fry,
Thanks for the link.
Sadly I can not really afford to put $800 on lures...
That could create somme serious issues on the domestic front...
But yes, they do look good...
And yes I have sent a message to the seller to ask if he would sell just one in each of the different depth...
One can dream.
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Re: Any guess?
Hi there,
Just two more Classic Barra with the Carlton advertising on them, and some other.
Also I now have two of the Classic Barra Carlton MID +15(Same colours than the two ones presented here, but with some green on the tail). But I have none of the Barra Classic with the XXXX logo, if any one have one in good condition that he/she his ready to swap just let me know.
(The one that I am ready to swap has never seen the water).
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Re: Any guess?
Hi there,
Here comes what should be the final chapter of the Coca Cola fishing lure saga, that you may have followed on this thread.
The story started with a lure given to me as a present by Geoff Corry.
Then I gave that very lure to the boss of Reidy's lures as he didn't had one.
Then out of nowhere a member of the FFF forum(Thanks Fry) pointed to me an auction on Ebay where someone was selling the same lure, in all the different depths it had been made.
Well you guess it, I was quick to check it out.
And yes I got a few of them...
This was the first time and probably the last time that I was trying to buy something on Ebay. And I was very lucky as I got them at a very good price, very close to the retail price of these lures when sold in their catalogue's colours.
You may notice that the Goulburn Jack has a slightly different pattern than the Taipan. The bubbles on the back of the lure are not exactly the same.
I went form not having a single one of them anymore, to finally have the full set.
The boxes are not in as good a condition as my previous one was, but they are still ok.
And yes these ones will stay at the office, and not swim for as long as they are mine.
Have a good day,
Me.

Re: Any guess?
Hi there,
Just two quick photos, to show a lure that was kindly brought to me by Sarrge yesterday.
That was a good surprise to see him drop by at my work place with this lure in his pocket.
It is a little Classic Barra +10 with the TIO logo painted on it.
I knew the Reidy's with the TIO logo, but was yet to see or own a Classic one, so this is great.
Thanks Sarrge.
Have a good day,
Pecheur.

Pecheur i lost 1 to a snag infront of No-fish creek on the Daly within the first 30 seconds of trawling for the day and another one down near elizabeth on a big fish, so after that i decided to leave the rest at home in thier boxes.

Re: Any guess?
Hi there,
I was very lucky to be gifted two more lures with advertising on them in the past month.
One by Max and one by Agent 86, yes two member of the forum.
And one is from down south, so respect for the Mexicans!
Max sent me a great looking Classic with the Jim Beam logo on it, just like this out of the blue, that was very kind thanks Max.
And Agent 86 just dropped back at my office one day, with this great Classic XXXX that had never seen the water, still in the box.
(I have taken it out of the box just for a quick photo, and back in it is).
So thank you gentlemen, this is much appreciated.
Have a good day,
Pecheur
P.S: And if anyones got some cool lures recently, you are welcome to put them up on this thread for us to see.

Re: Any guess?
Hi Pecheur
I've got a couple that were made up specially for the local barra fish competition "The Barra Bounty". They are Richo lures that he made up.
You're welcome to them if u want to send me your postal address. Or I'll be meeting up with a couple of Darwinites shortly and I can give them the lures to bring back for you.
Just tell me if u want them.
I'll do up a photo and post it if u like before deciding.
regards
Ronj
