Temporary fix with a temporary budget and a temporary Government.

To be honest, except for one contract, every job ive had done up here is way below standard. I don’t know if its just that we accept that the job wont be finished properly
I just think they do whatever they can get away with and hope it will just be ticked off as finished.

Yes today they have upgraded from the basic plastic cable tie to a combination of now
Original stainless clips , stainless ties and bandit strap . If your over at all on the jetty have a look at the bases of the safety handrails , quite a few have rusted through with some not attached at all . Governments job is to upgrade , maintain and install public infrastructure as required but what are we going get a " new museum " .

was at the jetty a few days ago and one of the guys working on he job was grinding apart the d hand railing dropping it into water. not sure if eco standards match up :P

yeh, doubt he was trying to do his bit for contributing to "artificial reefs", in a bid to attract more fish......

In future, If anyone sees this type of happens going on, please take a photo and report it.
Littering/discarding materials into our waterways in any form is totally unacceptable.

Yes, you have to weld excess steel into pyramid shapes before it is legit to chuck it in
