Heaps of redclaw in the Durack lakes, used to get about 20 a pot....

the good spots that arent secret have all been said above and get a good working from the top end population,the best bait that I have used is the humble old chicken pellets, they work equally well on redclaws, cherabin, marron, yabbies right around the country, dad taught to use them 38yrs ago but my guess he's been using them for much longer than that. just put a handful inside a piece of ladies stocking and tie it up inside your pot and they will be crawling over each other to get into ya pots. we sometimes soak them in tuna oil for a bit of extra attractant but i really dont think it makes that much difference.
