First fish in the NT

Post by ppete »

Hey guys

Thought Id chuck up a couple of pics of my success this morning before work. Had a couple of sessions around east point with the plastics had a little trevally chase me in the first session. Then watched some fish chasing bait the next with zero interest in my plastic so had a read through the forum. Seeing poppers where popular I bought a couple cheapies and had a flick before work this morning. Hooked up to a nice queen fish, which is my first of species and first for the NT. What a fun fish to chase!

Yesterday afternoon, post number 1, he asks where he might catch a fish land based. This morning he nails a decent one. Watch out for this guy. :lolpoint: Top stuff. And to answer yesterday's question that place holds barra in around the mangrove edges too.

Not a bad queenie for a start
Well done, one of my favourites.

The Pelagics are the ones to catch, love them :-)

Hope you get amongst a few next time.
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
