east point fishing trip

Post by Soro81 »

Hi fellow fisho's,

I'm looking at fishing out on the Darwin side of east point on Saturday afternoon into the night. I see on low tide today that there is a good looking gutter in the rocks.( nice looking blue hole ) My plan in to float some livies in there on the run in.

Has any one had any luck out there land based and if so, what sort of catch.

Many thanks

Fish the incoming tide out the back of East Point with live mullet. Good chance you will pick up a barra or salmon. I have never really fished the front.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the tips
unfortunately no pics for the brag board. Not much luck on lures but live mullet did the trick. Got busted off twice on the rock. Just was not my day. Fish 2 me 0.

Good on you for getting back on with a report mate . It's a great area to fish
with many spots to try . I don't live bait anymore I just like getting down there
on a dead low to check out all the gutters and ledges . Then start up near where
you were and work my way back as the tide comes in, give it a go with poppers
and shallow lures , more area covered more fish . Good luck.
