dundee landbased
can any one recommend a good land based spot out at Dundee ? looking to do a bit of barra fishing

If you go down marge road there are a couple of tracks to get down to the beach (google earth is your best mate) Once you get to the beach entrance go left and a couple of 100m down the beach there is a creek mouth. Fish this mouth on the incoming with live mullet and it should get you some action. I caught a 72cm barra and 3 good sized thread fin salmon from there last week. Be careful if your taking your dog as there is a 2m+ cheacky croc there.

Gday guys really appreciate the info on this thread already. We are soending 4 days if our annual vic river trip up in dundee beach and i was was just wondering about the gear used, eg rid length and weight. Cheers in advance.

Finniss mouth is the go but you'll have to drive on the beach 1/2 tide or lower n don't leave your trip out too late after fishing the low or u may get stuck on the sand as it runs in on 7m tides
