the bigger fish where chinook , the red colour one was a sooke their where schools of them moving up river in droves. That don't very often take lures the sooke , but you would get a couple of big chinook in the school which would smash the spoons. I hooked a couple that i had to snap of as they would of spooled me racing down the rapids .Matt Flynn wrote:Great adventure! What are the fish you were catching in the river?
The funny thing was the guide was so keen on catching these other trout called Bull trout, similar in size to a small creek trout in australia 500g to 2 pound. I found it hard to understand with the big chinook swimming around .
