Take your punt to the adelaide river with the wife, no need for fuel, bungs, rods or safety gear as long as you take the wife on jumpin croc cruise 1st because you wont be launching, size of your new boat after this will be big or bigger!
Cheers

Re: Moving to Darwin
If your wife says it's ok to upgrade then do it before she changes her mind. Mine said upgrade before Chrissy so before you knew it I sold my 5.4 and now have the 6.5 on order....yay

Re: Moving to Darwin
Just bring what you have and decide on a new boat later. I've used a 3.7 with a 15hp on it in plenty of places. The daly, roper, corobooree, fiinis, bynoe, yellow waters, 4 & 2 mile billabongs. Never felt felt threatened by crocs. Caught plenty of barra too.

Re: Moving to Darwin
There was a decent sized Croc up the top of the rookery on Friday night.
Made me second guess if my 5.5m Ocean Master was as big as I thought it was.
