Fishing newbie

Post by Gwydion »

Hello

Just want to say hello, I joined quite a while ago but I will try to be a little bit more active here now.

Back when I lived in Germany I always laughed when somebody asked me to come fishing on the weekend... Sitting in cold rainy weather with a poor worm on a hook on a stocked up dam... Only beer to keep your mood up... :drinking5:

That changed pretty quick when I arrived in Darwin August 2008, got my first tinnie short time later after a few trips with a mate, first Barramundi on the first run with the boat on Hardies Lagoon... Was a little bit muddy but still a good feed from the barbie. The fish was around 65cm...

About myself... I am close to my 32. birthday, work as an Electrician for industrial maintenance... And enjoy the time after work with cruising around, fishing, reading or just beeing lazy in the Spa..

Cheers

Oliver

So, just added bilge pump, navigation lights, anchor light, 6 gang switch panel and a inspection port in the engine well to the boat.

Nice Chriisy Present Oliver. Welcome to the site. I am sure your Chrissy was a bit warmer than a German Chrissy. I spent a Chrissy day in Munich one year. Very white and cold with plenty of :chef2: and :drinking5:
Good Luck with the fishing :fishing:
