Who can give an online crash course in fishing shoal bay?

Post by jasonmcc »

Hi Guys

I have fished up here for years, never really fished shoal bay. Fished Howard Rock bar off the bank a few times and did ok. Every time I have fished shoal bay proper I have ended up in a tiny drying up hole with no fish. So im just looking for a few tips in fishing the place and some good spots to fish the low tide.

Cheers

Jason

Members - maybe put some spots on the World Fishing Map of Shoal Bay for Jason. This is exactly what I made it for. I'll put a couple of my own on too.

2.8m - 4.8m is around about best to troll. You can go a bit lower if you dont mind being locked in by the tide for a while.

also see FF book. Hope inlet, spot 6, the rock etc. Just takes a while to get used to the shallow water when navigating.
