Tell me where to go.

Going this weekend? Planning a tour? Need info? A fishing partner? Just ask ...

Tell me where to go.

Post by mickkk »

Looking to get away somewhere with the family this weekend. But not too sure where.
Wanted to go to sandy creek but booked up.
Po cocks is still closed.
Channel point booked out.
Got Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Happy to camp somewhere, can be totally self sufficient. Both car and boat set up for off road, bank launching etc.
boat is a 559 stabicraft craft. Prefer blue water, but if we are likely to catch a few Barra (happy with rats) it should keep the kids happy.

Don't know if it would be worth while going down to tamato island on the roper
Or may be some of thr bongs in kakadu.
Guessing the daly will be packed.
Don't know if timber creek would be worth a trip?
Or if anyone has any other suggestions on what may be worth while.

Why not Dundee, or Sand Palms? If you want to rough it you have got gun point as an option.

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Keswick, Leaders, Crab Claw, Sand Palms, Wiligi ...

I'd go for Crab Claw with family, good facilities and wide choice of fishing, fresh Finniss nearby too. Tomato Island has good facilities but fishing might be a bit average.

The Vic is a great spot, just gotta be careful

Worth a look if you haven't been there

Can get some big Jew and huge powertail as well
