Fishtank...how is the first sentence of your post informative or in any way constructive? If you said that in my pub......BRRRRRRRR!!!!

As for the rest of my rant, well I guess I read into it a bit too much but each to their own - at least I was critical of peoples attitude - not fishing techniques!!! Especially those that clearly work.....

I'm sure the ensuing comments will be as witty as the previous ones, but I must put away my weapon (keyboard) as I have found myself in unfamiliar territory here...shouldn't have weakened...I've seen worse and said nothing...must be having a bad day....slowly climbing out of the internet HOLE I fell into...HAHAHA!!! Happy Fishing to all. Peace.

When I'm first to school of tuna I go full noise at them and turn side on at the last minute so everyone can have a chance. I go right to the edge of the school .The 2 deckies who are ready to go with bail arm over will fire the first two cast into the school while the skipper switches of the motor and then also cast a chromie into the school. We always get one hook up , sometimes a double doing it this way.

When they are a bit flighty the skipper will use a knife jig as the school have gone deep as he the last in the boat to cast.

I love this cowboy method and it's my favorite form of blue water fishing.

Wrong tide ?
wrong time of the tide ?

On those tides mate you would have been better out wide of Lee point on the high tide. Then big tides bring dirty water and the Tuna stay a bit further out of the harbour. The Buffalo creek side of Lee point usually has them on the springs.

Ripper thats the info I was looking for.
So if neaps are better then does it matter which stage of the tide you fish or is it just a matter of getting out of the wind, also do they push into the harbour on the neaps.
