G'day guys, I'm coming up to Darwin for a holiday in early Sept and have found this site whilst doing some research on what I'll need. I've been studying the FFF mag (it's excellent BTW), and although I will be getting out on a half day charter (I have read that Tommy Kontis is the way to go?), I'll be mainly land based. What species will I be able to target land based, I'd really like to try GTs, goldens, queenies & spaniards, am I being realistic? Any advice re: spots, gear, baits would be gratefully received. I'm planning on bringing 6-8kg and 10-15kg outfits with me.
Cheers,
neilm

chuck some big chromies off east point at dawn on a rising tide and you might be a show for a GT or Queenie.
as for tommy kontis, ring him early and give him the dates you are coming up, and he will be able to look at the tides and tell you which day would be most productive...
